What happens when someone submits my lead form?

This article is about the Lead Form in the Clients tab. For information about your own intake forms, and / or how to create document templates in Doulado, there is a separate article for that.


When a client submits your Lead Form, they are creating a client profile for you in Doulado. It yields the same result as if you were to create the client profile yourself. Here is what happens:

What the client experiences

  1. The client is presented with your lead form, either as a link you sent, or embedded on your website.
  2. The client fills out the form and presses Submit
  3. They are shown a success message and can close the tab or window if they want

What happens in your account

  1. A new client profile is created as a Lead in your client list

    The lead is added to the top of your client list
  2. You will receive an email notifying you of the lead you received
  3. Notes they type in are added to the notes area of the client
