What happens when someone submits my lead form?
This article is about the Lead Form in the Clients tab. For information about your own intake forms, and / or how to create document templates in Doulado, there is a separate article for that.
When a client submits your Lead Form, they are creating a client journey for you in Doulado. It yields the same result as if you were to manually enter the client information yourself. Here is what happens:
What the client experiences
- The client is presented with your lead form, either as a link you sent, or embedded on your website.
- The client fills out the form and clicks Submit
- They are shown a success message and can close the tab or window if they want

What happens in your account

A new client journey is created as a Lead in your client list

- You will receive an email notifying you of the lead you received. If you are a part of a team, any team member listed as an owner will receive the new lead notification.

- If "Send confirmation email" is selected in your lead form settings, when clients submit the lead form, they will automatically receive your desired notification, whether the default email is selected or you customize that template

This lead form confirmation email has been customized, and is not the default message sent by Doulado. To customize your own clients notification, navigate to Templates>Notifications. The lead form confirmation email is under "Other Activity" category.
