Question: Do clients need portal access to receive messages, documents, or appointments?
Short answer: No, they don’t.

- View and reply to messages
- Review appointment details
- Join virtual visits
- Complete and sign contracts
They simply access everything through the secure links sent to them via email (or text if SMS is enabled).
The Client Portal is optional, but it’s helpful if you want clients to have one place to log in and see everything in their journey. You can invite them anytime, whether that’s when you first create their journey or later after they’ve signed a contract.
Bonus Tip: Before inviting clients to the portal, you can customize your email sender name and logo in your business settings so notifications come from your business instead of the default Doulado name.
