The Lobby (Pre-Call)

Before joining the active call, you enter a "Lobby" area where you can:

  • Check your Camera & Microphone: Ensure you appear clearly.
  • Select Devices: Choose which camera, microphone, or speaker to use via the settings if you have multiple connected.
  • Join: Click "Join Call" when you are ready to enter.

If you didn't enable access for your camera or microphone for app.doulado.co, an error message will appear:

“Camera and microphone access was denied. Please allow access in your browser or device settings.”

In-Call Features

Once inside the room, you have access to a full suite of controls:

  • Chat: A text chat is available for sharing messages or links during the call.
  • Screen Share: You can share your screen or a specific window with the client.
  • Mute/Video Toggle: Quickly turn your microphone or camera on/off.
  • Device Settings: Switch input/output devices mid-call if needed.
  • Copy Link: Instantly copies the direct URL of the video room.
  • Minimize (Non-guests): Allows you to shrink the video window. You can click the “Video Call” pop-up to open the video room again.
  • Leave Call:
    • Non-guests - closes the Video Call modal.
    • Guests - leaves call and shows “This call has ended. You may close the tab”.
