Access Scenarios & Account Linking

Doulado helps keep client accounts organized by ensuring each email address is connected to a single client profile. This prevents duplicate or fragmented accounts.

New Client with a Unique Email

When enabling a portal access for a client whose email address isn't already registered, they receive a welcome email with instructions for completing their account setup.

Existing Portal Account (Linking)

If there is a client already with an active portal account with the email specified, a Linking Request mail is sent to the client giving them the option to link this new profile to their existing account.

All notes, invoices, and forms created for this journey remain safe; they simply now re-attach to the client's main profile.

  • Selection: The client chooses whether to link the new profile to their existing account.

  • Data Merging: Upon approval, the temporary record created by the provider is discarded, and the journey is attached to the client's established profile.
