At Doulado, weâre always working behind the scenes to make your experience smoother, smarter, and more powerful. And weâre excited to give our dedicated community a first look at some of the improvements that are just around the corner!
These upcoming updates touch everything from templates and communication tools to invoicing, claims, team management, and the client portal. Many of these enhancements are the result of real use and thoughtful feedback from doulas like youâthank you for helping shape Doulado into the tool you rely on every day.
Heads up: These changes havenât been released just yet, but theyâre scheduled to go live with our next update at the end of August!
Hereâs a preview of whatâs coming soon:
âď¸ Templates & Saved Text
- Archive for Paperwork Templates: Easily archive unused templates to reduce clutter and simplify template management. Retrieve or unarchive any time from the archive view.
- Lead Form Notification Templates: Customize the email clients receive after submitting a lead form. Set different emails based on which form is submittedâperfect for tailoring your first impression.
- Use Multiple Templates Together: You can now combine multiple templates in messages, notes, and paperworkâno more overwriting! Just insert at your cursorâs position.
- Saved Text Hub: Quickly view, edit, duplicate, and create templates all in one place with the new Saved Text icon at the top of your screen.
đ Notifications & Messaging
- Add Subject Lines When Sending Messages: You can now include a subject line when starting a new messageâno more editing after the fact (though you still can).
- New Event Scheduled Notifications for Doulas: When a team member schedules or updates an event on a doulaâs behalf, the doula will automatically receive an email with all the details.
- âReply Toâ for Client Email Notifications: Set a specific reply-to address for outgoing emailsâclient replies will go exactly where you want them to.
đ§ž Claims & Invoicing
- Batch Visits into a Single Claim: Link up to 6 visits from the same client and provider in one claim. Easily select related visits when creating a claim from a visit.
- đ¨"Deposit" is Now "Retainer": To clarify that these payments are non-refundable, we've changed the term âdepositâ to âretainerâ throughout Douladoâincluding on existing invoices.
Invoice Surcharging: Choose to pass credit card or bank transfer processing fees on to your clients. Enable this in your Invoice Settings for either payment method offered.
â ď¸ Be sure to check local regulations to ensure surcharging is allowed in your area.
đ§âđ¤âđ§ Teams & Permissions
- Eligibility Check Permissions: Real-time eligibility checks are now limited to team owners and contributors. Participant-level team members no longer have access to this feature.
- View Team Clients in Your Calendar: Your personal calendar can now show team-wide events and team-client events assigned to youâin order to view everything in one place!
đą Client Journey & Portal Enhancements
- Client Name in Note Creation: The client's name now appears when creating a noteâmaking it easier to ensure correct spelling and clarity.
- View Purchased Services in Client portal: Clients can now view their services and usage directly in the portal, just like you can under the Services tab. This also includes $0 invoices for insurance-based services.
- âView Profileâ in Checklist: A new quick link lets you open a client's profile directly from their checklistâmaking navigation a breeze.
- Export More Client Info: Export custom profile fields, due dates, delivery dates, provider details, and more into a spreadsheet with just a few clicks. Team owners can do the same for their Network list!
- Visit Log Date Filter: Sort visits by date and timeâascending or descendingâfor faster access to specific records.
