Updated: October 23rd, 2025

At Doulado, we’re always working behind the scenes to make your experience smoother, smarter, and more powerful. And we’re excited to give our dedicated community a first look at some of the improvements that are just around the corner!

We’re excited to share the latest features and improvements in Doulado! From enhanced messaging to smarter claim and appointment management, these updates make your experience smoother, faster, and more intuitive.

Heads up: These changes haven’t been released just yet, but they’re scheduled to go live with our next update at the end of October!

Here’s a preview of what’s coming soon:

Client Journey Enhancements

Allowing Duplicate Emails: Adding new clients just got easier! The same client email can be used across multiple profiles without creating unnecessary errors. If a client already has a portal login, new profiles can be merged seamlessly to give clients access to multiple journeys in one portal.

Sending Invoices to Multiple People: Invoices can now be sent to the contacts and client at once. Simply select the “Send All” option to include both the primary client and any additional contacts, with reminders automatically sent to everyone included.

Labels Column on Client Profile: Labels are now fully private and internal. Sensitive or internal labels can remain hidden from clients while still helping you organize and track client journeys more effectively.

Claims Notifications & Management

ERA Notifications: Email Remittance Advice notifications have been upgraded to show more details, including counts of paid and denied claims — making it easier to stay on top of your billing.

Show Claim IDs: Internal claim IDs now appear directly in your claim’s “Events” log, reducing the need to contact support and making troubleshooting faster.

Internal Notes on Claims: You can now add personal notes to individual claims, track updates, and maintain context, all from the Claims menu. Notes are editable at any time for ongoing clarity.

Claim Date Specificity: The claims table now uses Service Date instead of a generic “Date” column, providing clear, accurate, and exportable data for each claim.

Technical Updates

Adding 2FA: SMS & Authenticator App: Security is stronger and more flexible! In addition to email authentication, you can now use text messages or an authenticator app for two-factor login, giving you more options to keep your account safe.

Client Name in Synced Google Events: When syncing client events to your personal Google Calendar, the client name will now be included along with the event title — making it easier to identify who each event belongs to at a glance.

Resource Updates

Resource Accessed Indicator: You’ll now be able to see whether a client has viewed shared documents or resources, with a simple red/green status marker in the client journey.

Show Lead Form: Easily track which lead form a client submitted, with the title appearing in the client timeline and in email notifications.

Clickable Links in Invoice PDFs: Invoice notes can now include clickable links, allowing clients to easily navigate to external websites.

Booking & Appointment Updates

Constrain Multi-Event Booking: New safeguards prevent overbooking timeslots and allow you to restrict clients to one booking per day if needed, keeping your schedule organized.

Appointment Reminder Settings: Reminder timing will be fully customizable. Set the timing for notifications based on your workflow, rather than relying on the default 24-hour lead time.

Description on Appointment Templates: You can now add a description to appointment templates, giving clients helpful details about each visit type automatically.

Virtual Event with Link: Easily schedule virtual visits with clickable meeting links directly in the Location field, compatible with Zoom, Google Meet, or any external meeting platform.

Miscellaneous Updates

Remitter Flags: Control which payers appear in lead forms and which support automated eligibility checks. These new settings give you more flexibility and visibility over insurance workflows.

Insurance Expiration Alerts: Never miss an expiring policy! The system now compares client due dates with insurance expiration dates and flags accounts where coverage has expired, is expiring soon, or is expiring before the due date.

Stay tuned for the full rollout and get ready to explore these new features in action!
