Telehealth

With a Team or Impact subscription, we have added a Telehealth feature where you can connect with your clients in a secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual environment. This feature ensures your virtual meetings are private, confidential, and tailored to provide the personalized support your clients need—all within a safe and professional space.

While an actual event in Doulado can only be assigned to one provider and one client, we recently added the ability to invite others to a telehealth call by sharing a link. This allows flexibility for client's additional support people, and/or more than 1 provider to join the call. You can open the video room, and click to the "copy link" icon in the top right corner in order to share with others. They will need to enter their name upon entering, and be able to join the call!

  • Telehealth Access: Each meeting scheduled within the Doulado calendar will have a video call icon (if within a HIPPA Compliant plan). The doula can access the video button in the calendar event overview information, as well as in the client's visit log.

  • Client Access: Clients can access the "video room" through the event overview summary from their email link, as well as the appointment log inside their client portal. Be sure to include the fact that it is a virtual call as the location of the event, such as "Doulado Telehealth", "Virtual Call", or "Video Chat", etc.

The video icon will appear for all appointments, so that it is an available option should your needs change for the planned visit. If there is an actual address for the visit, the clients should be aware that the visit is planned in person!

In the call, you can edit your microphone and camera settings, start a chat with the client, turn off/on your video and microphone and share your screen during the call! You can also minimize the screen at the top right to access your Doulado account, and send resources or take notes in the client profile.

At this time, audio is not available with screen sharing to avoid feedback issues! We will work on adding that for the future. Screensharing is also only available from a laptop or computer.
