The team has been hard at work!! It must be the holiday cheer getting to us because we have released another round of updates for this month! 🥳

Please check out all of the most recent updates below, and how they will work within Doulado.


#1 Client Profile Updates

  • Client ID: If you choose to label your clients with an assigned ID, you can customize that information in the profile info section of a client profile. You can add a form field labeled "Client ID", and the number is added to the value space.

Add "Client ID" as a label template if you want it to appear in every new client profile that is created! The actual Client IDs will not be generated by Doulado, but can be created individually as needed.

  • ID Appears in Client List: If the Client ID is saved as above, it will appear in the main client list under the client status. The Client ID is also searchable within the main client list!

  • Client Checklist: The checklist feature is not new, but having it show in each client profile is! You can now easily track your checklists by viewing directly in the client profile for that client, in the last tab next to visits. The full checklists can still be viewed, edited, and added in the same location.

You can add a due date to the checklist task, as well as a note about the task from this view or by clicking on the client bubble at the top of the full checklists!

#2 Administrative Updates

  • Due Date Parameters: Previously when a new client filled out a lead form, they could enter any date in the "due date" field that may result in incorrect data. There are now some parameters set so that if they enter a birthdate or date that is not possibly a due date, it will prompt them to double check. This also applies when the doula is manually entering a new client.

They will be prompted with this message if the “Due Date” is more than 10 months in the future or if the “Due Date” is in the past (unless there is a “Delivery Date” provided as well). The due date also needs to be a valid date, and the delivery date cannot be in the future.

  • Dashboard analytics update: The earnings that display on the dashboard in your Doulado account have new parameters that will only display the earnings for the current year (1/1-12/31). The totals will reset on the 1st of every year to give you an accurate annual glance at earnings!

  • View PDF option: The view PDF option is now available to everyone on a Team. It is no longer restricted to an owner view, so that any team member can view a document template to print or save. You can access that PDF by clicking on the little 3 dots in the bottom right corner of a document in the templates tab!

#3 Form Field Updates

  • Optional Preset Dropdown: When creating a field in the label templates, you can add optional presets similar to the example below. Then those presets will appear in a dropdown as choices when manually entering a new client. Additionally we plan to add that dropdown in the profile info section as well next!

    You can see the dropdown options below when manually entering a new client, and selecting a label with the form field attached! You can select from the preset options so that consistent answers are given.



  • Invoice Payment Reminders: We have added an update that cancels the payment reminder notification if your client has paid up to or more than the current amount due.

In the example above, this client will not receive a payment reminder for the payment that is "due" on 12/26/2024 because an amount exceeding that payment due has already been paid.

  • Gestation Checklist: When using the checklist feature you will now see the gestational age (if applicable) displayed next to the client's name when you click into that client's individual tasks in the main checklist. Click on the client's photo or initial bubble to see their gestational age, as well as due dates and notes about their task list.

#4 Lead Form Updates

  • Non-Client Lead Forms: This feature is really exciting for our doulas who offer additional services outside of Doula work, or run an agency. You can now create a non-client lead form to gather information from associates, contractors, potential team members, etc. In the clients screen you can access this new feature in the Non-Client tab. Your "non-client" profiles are similar to a client profile, and can be created by manually adding the information or having them submit a lead form.


  • Referral form: If you are using a client lead form as a referral form for a third party (provider, agency, organization, etc.) to submit client information, you can choose to not send a confirmation email from the lead form. This way when a form is filled out on behalf of a client by someone else, they won't receive the notification.

If the box is checked, a confirmation email will be sent to the client after the form is completed. If the box is left unchecked, no confirmation email will be sent.

  • Lead Form Error Message: This update to the lead form displays a popup message that lets them know the lead form has some errors, and needs to be fixed before they can officially submit it!

  • Custom Field Mapping: Information added into the lead form can map to 3 places within a client profile. Their name, phone number, address, etc. maps to their client demographic information. The additional questions such as due date, provider, birth location, delivery date, emergency contact, etc. can be mapped to a custom field (profile info) within their client profile! Then the additional information with longer answers or things that you don't need to constantly reference can be mapped to a note!
  • Added a Field Name: When "map to: save as a custom field" is selected, there is now an additional box for a field name. This way the label, or actual question, can be different then how you save the data in a custom field. Instead of saving the form field as the whole question, the field name can be more of a title.
